VACUUM KILNS
Within the process of development of our produced vacuum kilns
developers set the following goals:
1. Maximum simplification of timber equipment construction and
drying technology.
2. Reaching high quality of timber drying.
The kiln consists of a cylindrical body (size of produced kilns
differ in line with the customer wishes), with a working
tambour. The pile is formed on the bogie and moved in the
process of loading and unloading along with guideways. The
timber is laid on compressions calibrated per thickness, which
are 25 mm thick, 30-40 mm wide with frame spacing. The cross-cut
of the pile thanks to setup of curvilinear guideways along the
length of the bogie is not square but imitates the shape of the
cylinder’s surface. Owing to this factor the maximum useful
capacity is achieved.
Regimes of steaming, drying, humidity treatment and cooling have
been acquired empirically within the process of experimental
treatment on a production plant. As a result a universal chart
for drying various wood species from the initial humidity 100%
to the final one of 5.0-6.0%, including the oak with thickness
of 75 mm, 52 mm, 32 mm, the nut with thickness of 90 mm, etc.
The drying process is done according to the preset program.
Developers stress simplicity of the plant maintenance, which
does not require continuous presence of the operators. When
electricity is switched off, the plant automatically chooses the
set regime.
One of the advantages of this drying method as already mentioned
before is high quality of the dried materials. Thus in the
process of oak timber drying the humidity range in the pile is
1.5%, the timber thickness differential – 0.5 – 1.0%. Terms of
drying: hard-wooded broad-leaved species - 7-18 days, coniferous
species 3-5 days depending on the thickness and initial humidity
to the residual wood humidity of 5-7%.
The price of the aforementioned kiln is significantly lower than
with other vacuum kiln producers but economic showings are much
higher!
Additional information about vacuum desiccation of wood:
·
The oak with thickness of 52 mm from the initial moisture 50%
dries to the residual moisture 5-6% within 18-24 days
·
The oak with thickness of 52 mm from the initial moisture 50% to
the residual moisture 5-6% dries within 12-15 days
·
The oak with thickness of 25 mm from the initial moisture of 50%
to the residual moisture of 5-6% dries within 12-15 days
·
The oak with thickness of 25 mm from the initial moisture of 30%
to the residual moisture of 5-6% dries within 10-12 days
·
The pine 55 mm from the initial moisture of 50% to the residual
moisture of 5-6% dries within 8-10 days
·
The pine with thickness of 5 mm from the initial moisture of 30%
to the residual moisture of 5-6%
dries within 6 days
Technical characteristics of
vacuum kilns
Everybody knows that the wood processing
industry is not the most ecological one. In our kilns this
problem is solved. Environmental friendliness has been achieved
thanks to the fact that unlike other kilns, nothing comes into
atmosphere and the chamber operates almost quietly. Timber dries
in its own steam, which is poured to the collecting channel when
turned to water.
We have obtained certificates that
acknowledge compliance of our kiln production and timber drying
to the European standards.
Our vacuum kilns secure 100% desiccation of
timber of any species (including the xotic ones) without
changing colour of the material. Simultaneous drying of
different timber species and size is possible in one chamber.
The size of produced kilns vary from 4 to 30 m3 with different
modification: for drying timber with length up to 12m, fireplace
wood, medicinal herbs, pet food, etc.
The term of production - 80-120 days
depending on modification.
Our vacuum kiln production and technology
rights are protected by patent and the company “TERMOWOODEX” is
the official producer on the territory of Europe, Asia, America
and other countries.
